This segment of my blog consists of the lead up to Christmas, Christmas and a large snow pile.
The Christmas excitement all started December 1st with Annual Mrs. Purdon Cookies with Santa. Mmm....cookies. We brought our letters to Santa to be sure he got our instructions right. We also saw another Santa at the PCL kids Christmas party. Mama had an afternoon off and Mom took us solo.
When school was over we headed to Jasper for four days. The skiing was a little on the cool side but the pool and hot tub were warm. I'm not a big fan of the cool weather skiing. I prefer spring skiing. Again, we skied with Brady and Trevor, Sue and Marcel. Mama even got to do two runs with us! Lucky Mommy.
We returned on the 23rd ready to put up a tree and get ready for the jolly old fellow himself to arrive. I was tickled when I saw the DS and DS game under the tree. And the bubble sweater Granny sent and the dolly and pixos Nanna sent.
Post Christmas was interesting. Our furnace was on the fritz. Much of our time was spent downstairs with the wood fire ablaze.
We had so much snow this winter we had to shovel off our roof! We had to dig a path from the door to the cars. But Ava and I are in luck. It made a huge pile on our driveway. Mama created a toboggan run and we sled down the driveway. We have since taken some off the sides of the pile by sawing blocks and building an igloo in the front yard. We've had so much fun with all the snow this winter. We have stayed busy just playing...we even go out in-20.
